However, no guarantee is assumed for the topicality, correctness, completeness or quality and continuous availability of the information provided.

Notwithstanding the provisions of § 675 (2) of BGB (German Civil Code) the information provided shall be subject to the following disclaimer:

The Free State of Bavaria and its staff shall not be liable for any damage arising as a result of using or failing to use the information offered on the Internet site of the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration. The disclaimer shall not apply, where the provisions of § 839 BGB (Liability in case of breach of official duty) are applicable.

Links

Links and references: The Bavarian Forest National Park Administration is responsible only for its “own contents" provided for the purpose of use, pursuant to the applicable laws.

A distinction must be made between such own contents and cross-references (“links") to the web pages of other providers. By providing the cross-reference in the form of a “link", the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration enables access to “contents of third parties". By means of the cross-reference, the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration only facilitates access to such contents for use. It assumes no responsibility for such “third-party" contents, as it does not cause the transmission of the information, nor does it select the recipients of the transmitted information or has it selected or altered the information transmitted. Furthermore, the downloading and linking method chosen does not automatically result in this “third-party information" being placed in an intermediate memory for a temporary period, so that this also does not involve any responsibility on the part of the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration a for such third-party contents.

On first linking up with such Internet sites, the editors of the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration have, however, checked whether the third-party contents could give rise to any liability under civil or penal law. As soon as the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration discovers or is notified by other parties that a specific site, to which it has provided a link, does incur liability under civil or penal law, it will immediately remove the reference to this site, where this is technically feasible and reasonable.

The respective provider of the site, to which the link referred, shall be solely liable for any illegal, defective or incomplete contents and in particular for any damage arising as a result of using or failing to use information provided by third parties.

Data Protection (Protocol Journals)

The web server of the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration is operated by the Bavarian State Agency for Statistics and Data Processing (webmaster@www.bayern.de), Neuhauser Str. 8, 80331 Munich, postal address: 80228 München.

Whenever an Internet file is requested, the following access data are saved in the Bavarian State Agency for Statistics and Data Processing:

•the page, from which the file was requested
•the name of the file called up
•the date and the time of the request
•the volume of data transmitted
•the access status (file transmitted, file not found, etc.)
•the description of the type of web browser or operating system used
•the IP address of the requesting computer.
The data saved are required exclusively for technical or statistical purposes; no comparison is made with other data stocks nor are any data or extracts therefrom passed on to third parties.

After analysis of the annual accesses, the data journals are deleted. The data are analyzed on a monthly and annual basis and the journals are in each case deleted in January of the following year. The analysis and deletion are carried out by members of the staff of the Bavarian State Agency for Statistics and Data Processing on behalf of the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration.

Active Components: Java-Applets can be used in the Internet site of the Bavarian Forest National Park Administration. The user in question can deactivate them by changing the settings on the browser. No use is made of cookies.

E-mail security: If you send us an e-mail, your mail address will be used only for the purpose of corresponding with you. It will not be passed on to any third parties.

If you intend to send us an e-mail with contents meriting protection, we urgently recommend that it be encrypted, in order to prevent any access by unauthorized persons and falsification during transmission. To encrypt such files, you will need the software “Pretty Good Privacy" (PGP), which can be obtained free of charge in the Internet together with our public PGP key available here. Please use only this key to encrypt your e-mail addressed to us (poststelle@stmuv.bayern.de), as we will otherwise not be able to read your e-mail.

It is also possible to enter personal or business data (e-mail addresses, names, addresses) for the purpose of placing orders. Such user data is provided strictly on a voluntary basis, as orders can also be placed by other means (telephone, postal service).

The e-mail addresses required for dispatching the Newsletter are saved on the Newsletter server in the Bavarian State Agency for Statistics and Data Processing and are not used for any purposes other than dispatch of the Newsletters. Subscribers to the Newsletters can themselves cancel their subscription at any time; the e-mail addresses will then automatically be deleted.

In any case (e.g. for ordering, Newsletter, feedback, discussion forum), the personal data provided (in particular name, e-mail address) are processed solely with a view to sending the required publications or information or for such other purposes as may be explicitly mentioned in the individual form and will not be passed on to third parties.
