On the edges of the Bavarian Forest National Park there are a number of cross-country skiing tracks, which are connected to the local network of tracks and very well maintained by the local authorities. You can glide through wild winter landscapes on the more than 80km of tracks that are in the national park itself. Please pay attention that within the national park you don’t leave the prepared tracks.

In the cross country skiing centres in Mauth and Zwieslerwaldhaus several tracks of varying length and difficulty are offered from one starting point.

Additional starting points for cross-country skiing trips can be found on the map and information on the current conditions of the tracks is available from tourist offices and national park centres and information points.
