Data Protection (Protocol Journals)
The web server of the Bavarian Forest National Park is operated by the Bavarian State Agency for Statistics and Data Processing (webmaster@www.bayern.de), Neuhauser Str. 8, 80331 Munich, postal address: 80228 München.
Whenever an Internet file is requested, the following access data are saved in the Bavarian State Agency for Statistics and Data Processing:
the page, from which the file was requested
the name of the file called up
the date and the time of the request
the volume of data transmitted
the access status (file transmitted, file not found, etc.)
the description of the type of web browser or operating system used
the IP address of the requesting computer.
The data saved are required exclusively for technical or statistical purposes; no comparison is made with other data stocks nor are any data or extracts therefrom passed on to third parties.
After analysis of the annual accesses, the data journals are deleted. The data are analyzed on a monthly and annual basis and the journals are in each case deleted in January of the following year. The analysis and deletion are carried out by members of the staff of the Bavarian State Agency for Statistics and Data Processing on behalf of the Bavarian State Forest National Park.
Active Components: Java-Applets can be used in the Internet site of the BavarianForest National Park. The user in question can deactivate them by changing the settings on the browser. No use is made of cookies.

Notes for Users
The WWW pages of the Bavarian Forest National Park are optimized for a screen resolution of 600x800 Pixel upwards with 65,000 colors. For optimal resolution, supplementary programs such as Acrobat Reader and Macromedia Shockwave should be installed and Javascript should also be activated in the browser settings.
Errors may occur in the process of digitizing data. Certain variations in the presentation of data may occur when different browsers are used for the World Wide Web and different software settings are given.
